ANIMALS ARE already insulated to face the winter, but what happens when they go bald? An animal sanctuary in Oxfordshire spared no expense for Wilf the badger after his first moult left him with only stubble to face the winter cold - it ordered a bespoke coat.

A spokesman for Burberry, in Regent Street, London, said: "We were intrigued by the problem. Badgers are not regular customers."
