Rebels advance on Congo town

Rebels in the Democratic Republic of the Congo said they were advancing toward the key eastern town of Kindu, still held by government troops. Kindu, 275 miles south-west of the eastern rebel stronghold of Goma, is a vital supply point for government troops in the east.
