These dark, fern-like features on the floor of the Antoniadi Crater tell the story of an ancient wet environment on Mars where life may have existed. One hypothesis is that these represent a network of channels that now stand in inverted relief. The channels may have become filled in with materials more resistant to erosion

The original Viking pictures of the Cydonia complex were low-resolution. Better images were obtained by Mars Global Surveyor, and NASA made sure to release them immediately to address claims they they might have been doctored. Also, are the Europeans meant to be in on this conspiracy too, via the Mars Express probe?
