Serbian shelling halts airlift
A BRITISH and French helicopter evacuation of sick and wounded Muslims in eastern Bosnia was halted yesterday after Serbian forces attacked the mission, killing at least three people and wounding six, including two Canadian soldiers.
Shells rained down around three French helicopters as they lifted off from a football field in Srebrenica, and later two British helicopters evacuating the Canadians were attacked. Bosnian Serbs claimed that the British and French had attacked the landing site in order to frame the Serbs.
