Soldier charged over Londonderry shooting
A 26-year-old soldier was charged last night with the unlawful killing of a comrade shot in the head at an army base in Londonderry. He will appear before a magistrate in Limavady today. Private Matthew Edwards, 20, unmarried, of Weston-super-Mare, Avon, died as he was about to go on patrol on Wednesday night.
