Spanish bounty

Britain could be forced to pay out more than pounds 30m to Spanish boat owners because the Government tried to ban them from United Kingdom waters. A European court ruling tomorrow is likely to give the go-ahead for a compensation claim by Spanish fishermen and companies which registered at British ports as a way of qualifying for UK fishing quotas.
