Tehran steps up pressure on Taliban

Iran stepped up pressure on Taliban militia as US intelligence analysts said Tehran had troops and attack aircraft at the ready. Iran warned it had a lawful right to act against the Taliban over Iranian diplomats missing, feared killed, in Afghanistan.
