The 'Independent' manifesto for recovery

THE Independent has arranged a meeting on Tuesday 8 December at Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, Westminster, to discuss a programme for national recovery. Readers were invited to participate. All the available seats have now been allocated and those readers whose ticket applications were successful will have been contacted by telephone. We apologise to readers who will not be able to attend but thank them for their interest. A full report of the proceedings will be published in the Independent on Wednesday.
