BARING HIS SOUL

Live dance and video collide in Mandala, a "living movie" conceived and performed by Daniel Ezralow (right). Sporting the kind of classy CV that any contemporary hoofer would die for (founding member of Momix, performer with the Paul Taylor Company), Ezralow is also a talented choreographer in his own right, designing works for everything from the Paris Opera Ballet to U2 videos. Hell, he's even got a finger in the fashion pie - working with designers such as Issey Miyake.

All of this suggests that the American wunderkind's latest project should offer something special. Melding dance with new video and computer technology, Ezralow insists he's not simply an SFX thrill seeker, but expanding the "heart" of perception and performance.

See for yourself from Thursday.
