Bogus policeman fined

A man who patrolled the M25 posing as a traffic policeman was fined pounds 200 and given a four-month suspended sentence. Magistrates at Guildford were told that Michael Mellor, 27, of Greenwich, south-east London, had been unable to fulfil his ambition of joining the police because of a weight problem.
