Boy causes £5,000 worth of damage by jumping on cars

The boy was part of a group in a Toyota garage in Cheltenham

Police in Gloucestershire have released CCTV of a young boy jumping across several cars in a Toyota garage, causing £5,000 worth of damage.

Cheltenham police say the youth ran across seven cars on the forecourt on Tewkesbury Road between 5.30pm and 6pm on Sunday 25 January.

The boy can be seen climbing onto the roof of the first car, proceeding to run across five more vehicles before landing on the bonnet of a seventh Toyota as he attempts a handstand. His landing, and the stunt in general, leave a lot to be desired.

The damage to the roof of six of the cars and the bonnet of the other will cost £5,000 to repair, police said.

Gloucestershire Police are calling on anyone who recognises the boy to call 101, quoting incident 52 of 26 January.
