A residential social worker who sexually abused emotionally disturbed boys at a Barnardo's children's home was jailed for eight years yesterday.

Ivor Crowhurst, 48, of Battle, East Sussex, admitted buggery and indecent assault at Maidstone Crown Court and asked for eight other offences to be taken into account. The assaults took place at the Meadows School, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, in the 1980s.
