Catholic shot dead in Ulster
A Catholic man was shot dead at his home in Co Tyrone last night as loyalist paramilitary groups maintained their campaign of violence.
The father of four was hit by shots fired through the window of his home at Derrymagowan near the town of Moy. The location is in the so-called 'murder triangle' area where Ulster Volunteer Force gunmen have been particularly active in recent years. A child was also injured in the attack.
The man was named as John Molloy. One immediate theory was that he may have been killed in mistake for a Sinn Fein councillor, Francie Molloy, who lives nearby.
