A "sadistic" Broadmoor patient was jailed for 21 years after admitting killing two women 12 years ago and attacking two others.

At Lewes Crown Court, Graham Fisher, 37, pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of Clare Letchford, 40, and 75-year-old widow Beryl O'Connor on the grounds of diminished responsibility. The two women were strangled and burned in their flats in Hastings, East Sussex, in 1998. Fisher said he cut flesh from Ms Letchford's arm and ate it.

He confessed to the offences while held at the high-security psychiatric hospital, saying he found it hard to live with his crimes.
