Police are searching for a criminal who used a gun to steal over £4,000 cash from a bank in Derbyshire.

Derbyshire Police released CCTV footage yesterday of the terrifying bank robbery that took place at the Royal Bank of Scotland branch in Matlock on 18 February in a bid to identity the robber.

After exiting the store, police say he disappeared down the nearby Snitterton Road and has not been seen since.

Police are now hoping that the video may encourage anyone with information on the suspect to come forward.

Police said he was wearing a black hat, black scarf, black gloves and a black Nike coat, which had a grey and blue logo, a blue zip and blue lining in the hood.

The footage also includes a man who was filmed in a shop near the bank and police are keen to speak to him in connection with the incident.

Officers would like anyone who recognises the man to contact them on 101 quoting crime number 7104/15.
