A cyclist in London had his iPhone and wallet stolen as he lay unconscious in the street after falling off his bike, police have said.
The unnamed 28-year-old man fell off his bike on Nigel Road, Peckham at around 2.15am on Tuesday.
The man suffered a head injury and was treated in hospital - his condition was described as stable.
Police say they are now investigating the possibility that the man's possessions were stolen by people who may have posed as Good Samaritans at the scene.
The Metropolitan Police said: "At approximately 02:15hrs on Tuesday, 29 October the 28-year-old victim fell from his bicycle on Nigel Road, junction with Rye Lane, SE15."
"While lying unconscious, an unknown number of suspects stole his iPhone, wallet and cigarettes."
"The victim was taken by London Ambulance Service to a south London hospital where he remains in a critical condition."
