Jimmy Savile police arrest man aged 72

Police investigating the Jimmy Savile abuse scandal have arrested a man aged 72 on suspicion of sex crimes.

The suspect was detained in east London by officers from Operation Yewtree and was later bailed to return pending further inquiries on a date in July. He falls under the strand of Yewtree that police have termed "others".
