An 18-year-old man has been charged with a sexual offence after an underage girl was filmed having sex at a party for the Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao fight.

The suspect was due to appear in court today but police did not specify what crime he was accused of.

A video has been spread on social media appearing to show a 15-year-old girl having sex at a party in Edinburgh on Saturday night.

The Daily Record reported that the explicit footage was filmed and released without her consent.

"A lot of drink was taken and the girl herself said she didn't know she was being filmed," the girl’s friend told the newspaper.

"It’s outrageous. Loads of them had their phones out taking pictures and videos of them in the bed.”

Sportsmen including a footballer and a boxer were reported to be among the guests at the party, where people watched the Mayweather and Pacquiao boxing match.

There is no suggestion that they knew of any illicit sexual activity taking place.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "An 18-year-old man has been charged with a sexual offence, which took place at an address in Edinburgh on Saturday 2nd May.

"He is scheduled to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Wednesday 6th May. Enquiries are continuing in relation to this incident."
