Man charged with murdering OAP
A man will appear in court today charged with murdering a pensioner who died after suffering severe injuries in an attack at her home.
The 53-year-old man, who has not been named, was arrested on Monday after the woman, aged 75, was taken to hospital from an address in Erdington, Birmingham.
A police spokesman said the woman, who lived in Milverton Road, was found injured at about 9.30am but died in hospital on Monday afternoon.
The 53-year-old, who is believed to be related to the deceased, will appear before magistrates in Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands.
