A man was being questioned today after the rape of a woman on a university campus.

The victim was dragged into a wooded area on the University of Surrey campus in Guildford and attacked in the early hours of yesterday.

Police said the victim was walking near the university's Union House at 4.45am at the time of the attack.

Officers arrested a 23-year-old man from Guildford last night on suspicion of rape and he was being held in custody.
