A murder investigation was launched after a man was stabbed to death in an apparently targeted attack, police said.

Thirty-seven-year-old Martin Gallagher suffered stab wounds to the chest in Gorton, Greater Manchester, on Friday. Police were called to the scene following reports of a disturbance.
