Detectives hunt group of 'Asian men' after 17-year-old girl gang-raped in woods

The men have all been described as being ‘Asian’ as police appeal for witnesses

A 17-year-old girl has been raped by a gang of men in a secluded nature spot, police say.

The teenage girl was attacked near the Jubilee River in Slough, Berkshire, on Friday night after she met a group of men earlier that day.

Thames Valley Police said the girl had been walking from Darvill’s Lane towards the High Street when she met with a group of men around the junction of Church Street and Chavley Road West.

Police said the girl began talking with one of the men before walking with him along the High Street, where they stopped at an off-license. The man and the teenage girl then proceeded down Spackmans Way and along a footpath before entering the woods near the Jubilee River.

A gang of four men, who had been part of the group, then drove up in a small silver car to the area where the girl and the man were in the woods.

Police said the girl was then raped by several of the men, all of whom are described as being “Asian”.

Detective Inspector Nicola Hurdley said: “We are still speaking with the girl at this time to get a full picture of what has happened, but what we do know is that while she was in this wooded area she has been raped by several of the men.

“We have specially trained officers with her now, who are supporting her while we carry out our enquiries in this area.

“Right now our investigation is focused on identifying the men involved and gathering information about their whereabouts”.

DI Hurdley appealed for witnesses and said she wanted to speak to anyone who may have seen these men in the Chalvey area early on Friday evening, and anyone who may have seen them driving around in a small silver car.

Thames Valley Police said it has put additional patrols by uniformed officers in and around the area, who will be on hand to discuss any concerns that people may have, while urging people to be “vigilant and take care while out and about on their own”.
