Police officer arrested in corruption inquiry


A police officer has been arrested in connection with a large-scale corruption inquiry into the leaking of confidential information.

The 42-year-old employee of West Midlands Police was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of misconduct in a public office and has since been released on police bail.

Investigating officers have also detained two men, aged 57 and 58, and a 51-year-old woman, all from the West Midlands.
