Teenage boy found stabbed to death in Essex

 

The teenage son of an American oil millionaire has been found stabbed to death.

The body of Breck Bednar, 14, was found on Monday morning at a flat off Rosebery Road in Grays, Essex. A post-mortem analysts revealed he died of a neck wound.

Lewis Daynes, 18, a computer engineer, has been charged with murder and remains in custody. He is due to appear before Chelmsford crown court today.

The teenager's father, Barry Bednar, an oil futures trader from Houston, described him as "happy, gentle and smart boy". He told the London Evening Standard the boy has recently returned from a 10-day trip in Spain and was excited to be back home.
