Police have been mocked for issuing an e-fit of a suspect who has been compared to Fred Flintstone from the animated sitcom The Flintstones.

Kent Police issued the image of the man with one large sideburn in connection with a robbery on a 75-year-old man in Cliftonville.

But the efit prompted derision from some commentators on the force's Facebook page, with one describing it as "the worst efit I've ever seen".

Another poster wrote: "By the looks of this, you're looking for a guy with a wife called Wilma and a pet dinosaur."

A further commentator wrote: "Did someone at police HQ get carried away with the black pen?? Lol."

Police are looking for the man after a pensioner had his head pushed into a wall before having cigarettes taken from his pocket.

The OAP managed to fight the three offenders off following the incident in an alleyway between Dalby Square and Athelstan Road at around 10.30am on September 26.

Anyone with information is asked to call Kent Police on 01843 222289, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
