Two teenagers are in a serious condition in hospital today after a double shooting, police said.

The two, aged 18 and 19, were taken to separate hospitals after shots were fired last night in Neasden, north west London.

Police said the shootings are linked and the two are not believed to have shot at each other.

Officers and the London Ambulance Service were called to the scene of the shooting at Blackbird Hill, Neasden, where they found the two men with gunshot wounds.

A Met spokeswoman said: "They are in a serious but stable condition.

"Officers from the Metropolitan Police Service Shootings Team are investigating."

Motorists are advised to avoid the area today due to road closures as officers search the scene.

The spokeswoman added that no arrests have yet been made in connection with the shooting.
