Woman's body found washed up on coast
A woman's body was found washed up on the coast early today.
A dog walker found the corpse at a slipway at Minnis Bay, Kent, at 7.30am, a spokesman for Kent Police said.
It is understood the woman was aged in her 50s and believed to be from Sidcup. Her next of kin have been informed but she has not been formally identified.
Police said her death was being treated as "unexplained", pending the results of a post-mortem examination.
A police spokesman said the post-mortem would not be held before next week.
