Four people were arrested yesterday on suspicion of attempted murder after a woman was found in a distressed state, abandoned in woodland.
West Yorkshire Police said they believe the 27-year-old may have been taken from an address in Huddersfield sometime after 11pm on Saturday night and have appealed for anyone who saw a large cardboard box which officers have recovered from the woods.
The woman was suffering from minor injuries. Two men, aged 25 and 49, a 17-year-old boy and a woman, aged 46, have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
