Death case referral
The case of a schizophrenic put on three years' probation after mugging and killing an 83-year-old man has been sent to the Attorney General for a decision on whether the sentence should be challenged as unduly lenient. Paul Gordon, 26, had admitted manslaughter and robbery after pushing William Hoarsley off a wall in south-east London last September.
