The police investigation into the death of Joy Gardner, who died after a struggle with Metropolitan Police deportation squad officers, is to be delivered to the Police Complaints Authority and the Crown Prosecution Service next week. Delays were caused by a split among forensic pathologists: five agree Mrs Gardner died from oxygen starvation as a result of gag, but two say head injuries were involved.
