STEPHEN Dorrell, Secretary of State for National Heritage, was accused in the High Court yesterday of 'unreasonably and unlawfully' taking steps which prevented an American museum from acquiring Antonio Canova's The Three Graces.

The claim was made during an action by the J Paul Getty Trust, which wants to ship the sculpture to the Getty Museum in California. Mr Justice Laws will give his ruling at Leeds Crown Court on Tuesday.
