Double death inquiry launched

POLICE are investigating a double death mystery involving a 19-year-old woman whose body was found at a New Age Travellers camp and her boyfriend, who died in a police cell.

Chris Austin, 27, called police to the camp near Winchester, Hampshire, on Saturday night after Sophie Holmes collapsed. She was found to be dead at the scene. Mr Austin was taken to hospital and was arrested yesterday after being discharged.

Less than six hours later he was found dead at North Walls police station in Winchester. Ms Holmes's death is being treated as supsicious.
