A special 'grass' line has been set up by police in Kent for members of the public to tip them off about suspected drink drivers.

Traffic police at Portsmouth have had several calls from people reporting other pub-goers for driving home when over the drinks limit. A spokesman said: 'We are more than happy to respond to any calls blowing the whistle on potentially lethal drink drivers. If we can stop them before they do any damage to either themselves or someone else, then that's good.'
