Drug smuggler `was clearing debt'

A man who told customs officers he was forced to smuggle half a million pounds worth of cocaine into Dover by Yardie drug barons, was jailed for nine years at Maidstone Crown Court in Kent. Robert Jaggers, 44, of Clapton, north-east London, claimed he owed a gang of Yardies thousands of pounds and drug running was a way of wiping out some of the debt.
