Exotic food sales soar to pounds 366m
EXOTIC foods have become common in many British kitchens with the amount spent on non-European ingredients, ready-made meals and snacks almost doubling from pounds 196m to pounds 366m in four years, according to a Mintel survey published today.
Indian and Chinese foods are the most popular, but demand for Mexican, Thai and Indonesian foods is increasing rapidly.
