Food writer's will
Elizabeth David, the cookery writer who died in May, aged 78, left many books and pictures to museums in her will. The National Portrait Gallery is the main beneficiary, with several drawings and paintings of her, including one used for the original edition of Mediterranean Food in 1950. She left pounds 556,328 net.
