Former MP dies

Sir Michael McNair-Wilson, 62, who was Tory MP for Newbury until the 1992 election, died. He had represented the constituency since 1974, having entered Parliament as MP for Walthamstow East in 1969. Sir Michael had a kidney transplant operation in 1990.
