Police believe the boy got into difficulty in the river
Police officers recovered the body of a 13-year-old boy from the River Thames on Tuesday evening.
It is believed the schoolboy drowned after getting into difficulty in the river near Gossmore Lane, Marlow, 33 miles west of central London, at around 4.30pm this afternoon.
Officers were called to the scene, where they searched the river with members of the fire and ambulance services, Thames Valley Police said.
The teenager, understood to be from the Marlow area, was discovered by officers from the Specialist Search and Rescue Team shortly after 8pm on Tuesday.
