Seven people have been injured in a boat explosion in Buckinghamshire.

Thames Valley Police say that the boat exploded at Bray Lock in Taplow, near Maidenhead, shortly before 1pm today.

Two men, two women, a teenage girl and a three-year-old boy have been taken to hospital. None of their injuries are thought to be life threatening.

Another man was treated for minor injuries at the scene.

It is believed that the group were travelling in a privately owned boat.

Police are investigating at the scene to establish the course of events.
