Businessman's home-made bomb detectors ‘fake’, court hears

A businessman created a £3m-per-year company selling home-made bomb detectors that did not work, a court has heard.

Gary Bolton, 47, denies fraud. He is accused of selling the devices for up to £10,000 each, and boasted they could detect explosives, narcotics, ivory, tobacco and money, the Old Bailey was told. The trial continues.
