Police have issued a warning for women to stay alert in Camden after a woman was attacked and strangled in front of her baby north London.

The woman, who survived the attack and cannot be named for fear of reprisal, was tending to her baby’s car seat when two men approached her from behind in Belsize Park.

One man then strangled her until she collapsed, took her wedding ring, and kicked her so hard it left an imprint on her jeans.

The man was reportedly wearing a bandana which covered his face. The victim was unable to give a broader description of her attacker.

The Metropolitan Police is appealing for witnesses to the attack in Belsize Park Gardens on January 26 at 7.50pm. Anyone with information is asked to call Camden police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. In an emergency, call 999.
