Concern is mounting for the welfare of a 13-year-old boy who has been missing from his Monmouthshire home since the weekend.

Michael Driver was last seen at home in the village of Rogiet, between Chepstow and Newport, South Wales, at 2.30pm on Saturday 12 October.

He is described as white, slightly built and 4ft 5in tall with dark hair. He has connections to the Merthyr Tydfil area and was last seen wearing a black hoody and jeans.

"Because of Michael's age officers have concerns for his safety and well being," a Gwent Police spokesman said.

"Anyone who has seen him or has any information about his whereabouts is urged to ring 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 quoting log 428 12/10/13."
