Would you rather spend a quarter of a million on a beach in Cornwall, or two tiny garages in central London?

For £250,000, potential buyers could become the owner of Polkerris beach, in Cornwall their beach which attracts thousands of people each year.

The whole business includes the beach trading rights, RYA Watersports Centre, a café and a beach shop - and thousands of people each year.

But if you prefer to buy in the capital, you could purchase a couple of garages in Knightsbridge at £130,000 each.

Alternatively, a one bedroom flat on the eleventh floor of a block in Shepherds Bush Green or a two bedroom eight-floor pad in Kilburn are also up for grabs at exactly the same price as the Cornwall beach.

Polkerris beach has been owned by the Shillito family for seven years and there are still eight years left on the lease.

Bob Shillito told Western Morning News he was selling up to concentrate on his caravan site.

“On any given day I could be acting as harbourmaster for a visiting yacht, scooping ice creams, hiring out paddle boards, negotiating with equipment suppliers, and awarding sailing certificates all in the same afternoon. You never know what will come up next," he said.
