While most people would prefer to remain wrapped up inside during the winter months, a group of Royal Marine Reservists have been busy training in sub-zero temperatures in Norway.

Exercise Hairspray focuses on cold weather survival and warfare training for reservists and takes place in the mountains range near to Porsanger Garrison near Lakselv.

As part of the exercise, marines have to plunge into icy water, dig snow holes to camp in, and carry out combat in snowy conditions.
