The HMS Caroline is to undergo a series of repairs after receiving a £1 million grant from the National Heritage Memorial Fund.

The iconic ship took part in the Battle of Jutland in 1916 and is the only floating vessel left from the first World War.

The restoration is planned to coincide with the ship's centenary next year.
