Taller than Nelson's Column at nearly 60m (196ft), the new "English Riviera Wheel" has arrived in Torquay, Devon, straight from London's Olympic celebrations.

Just over a week ago, passengers were looking out across the Olympic Park from one of the 40 enclosed gondolas. It was set up in Victoria Park, next to the Olympic Village.

Now passengers – up to six can be seated in a gondola – will get 360 degree views across Torquay. The wheel, operated by The Mellors Group, will be open until October.
