Ordination cleared
THE FIRST ordination service for women priests in London took place at St Paul's Cathedral after a legal challenge failed to stop the ceremony. Thirty-six women deacons were accepted into the priesthood of the Church of England by the Bishop of Willesden, the Rt Rev Graham Dow.
