Police have launched an appeal to find three schoolgirls who have gone missing from their homes in London.

Abir Salah, 16, and Ahlam Salah, 15, who are sisters, and 13-year-old Fardowsa Hassan, all from Wood Green, north London, have been missing for several days.

The teenagers are believed to be together. It is not thought the trio have left the country and may be sleeping on buses or elsewhere on the transport network, according to police.

Miss Hassan and Abir were reported missing on 6 December and Ahlam was reported missing on 12 December.

Miss Fardowsa is described as being of Arabic appearance, 5ft 5 inches tall and of medium build.

Abir and Ahlam are both black, of Somali descent and of medium build. Abir is 5ft 10 inches tall and Ahlam is 5ft 5 inches tall.

The Metropolitan Police said: “All the girls’ families are concerned for their welfare and urge them to contact them, or the police, to let them know they are safe and well.”

It is understood the three girls also went missing last month.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Haringey Missing Persons Unit on 101.
