St Paul's camp faces legal action 'within days'
Legal action to evict protesters from the steps of St Paul's Cathedral could begin "within days" because the local authority believes any further delay to proceedings could undermine its case.
Earlier this month, Occupy London protesters headed off the first legal bid before it even reached court when St Paul's and the City of London Corporation, halted legal action.
But the corporation is said to be ready to start proceedings to remove the 200 tents from around the cathedral's steps. The process would begin with the corporation handing protesters a letter demanding the tents' removal, but an eviction is likely to take months to enact.
A handful of demonstrators held up banners as the Lord Mayor's Show went by without disruption yesterday. Some protesters organised an alternative show, Not the Lord Mayor's Show.
