Stonehenge pulls in £30m

Stonehenge has taken more than £30m in tourism income in the past five years.

The Wiltshire prehistoric site costs taxpayers around £2.4m to run, with English Heritage charging the annual 800,000 visitors £7.50 each. New cash for the World Heritage site will come from private donations, Lottery money and sponsorship.
